(More customer reviews)Although Amazon's description says this unit is "designed for boats up to 4000 lbs", mine just manages to handle my boat which weighs about 1200 lbs.Wiring was a nightmare (I had an electrician do it for me) and, surprisingly, was designed for a use with a car rather than with a truck, so so truck owners will need to buy a plug.
The heavy nylon strap is a plus, but lack of a remote and emergency handle for manual operation are definite minuses.If I could do it again I'd save my pennies and buy a more powerful unit with remote control.
